In the vibrant heart of Parma’s historic centre, an apartment has undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to the creative genius of the Ini Architetti team, made up of Domenica Fiorini, Francesca Giannini, and Giulia Ghidini.
The BSB project represents an example of restoration that has breathed new life into a space, generously dividing the area into three independent housing units while maintaining a common thread of design and functionality.
Where possible, the team opted to recover and restore existing floors while, in other cases, they reinterpreted traditional elements in a modern key, such as the MIPA terrazzo floors, updated with a new custom design.
In particular, the Tinta Uniti collection by MIPA was used in the kitchen and corridor in various colours, integrating smaller formats with larger ones in different shades to achieve higher environmental customisation.
A unique feature of the apartment is exactly the common corridor, decorated with MIPA terrazzo and conceived as a “second” entrance separating the public space from the private sphere. This space has been equipped with an elegant custom wardrobe that conceals technical compartments and serves as access to the apartments.
